Andrew & Mireille

On 12 April 2022 I underwent open heart surgery and had a triple bypass. When I was told the date, in my mind, I thought it would be my last day.

The operation was about 7 hours long, and with Mireille waiting at my bedside, I woke up in intensive care and what a relief that was! I'd made it through the operation. On 12 April 2023 I will cycle with my wife Mireille from Den Haag in the Netherlands to Antwerp in Belgium in celebration of life.

Thank you to everyone who helped me and thought about me on my road to recovery. I'm blessed.
